Welcome and Greetings!
I hope
you like my CD. It is a call to the Divine within myself and within all of
us, that we may recognize our worthiness, our beauty, our desire and ability
to love ourselves, one another, and this beautiful planet we live on, our
earthly mother. We need ourselves, we need each other, and we need Her.
I discovered
in meditation some years ago, that what you call for, you really do get,
and that an even more effective, joyful and powerful way for me to pray is
to do it out loud, in song, toning, or chant. It has become more and more
apparent to me that I have an ability - as do we all - to come out of my
small, isolated world, and to join with others by sharing myself, which I
love to do in song. All of the songs were born out of either joy or longing
or a combination of the two!
All
of the songs are the taking up of communication with myself, even when I've
not been sure there was any other part of myself either listening or even
in existence. I just went ahead and spoke and sang to myself anyway, and
have been amazed again and again to find that I do have a deeper self, that
I definitely do have an inner child, that I have very acute feelings and
responses to life, when I allow them, and that I even have a clear life purpose.
Singing to myself has been a wonderful way of waking up to my own ability
to love, to even love the parts of me that hate, the parts of me I've tried
to banish. Living Divinity doesn't demand perfection, it demands a complete
inclusion of our deep humanity, and it is accomplished through our own willingness;
we don't even need to know how, we only need to be willing.
Singing
to myself has also woken me up to my responsibility as a guardian of this
planet, who needs our collective guardianship now more than ever. I do not
know how we will overcome the vast problems on the planet today, but I do
know that we will do it together, not alone. It requires all of us. To this
end I offer myself in service as best I can.
This
CD is about the truth of the Love which resides within each of us; with this
I have found the courage to speak and sing my heart in all of its simplicity.
I hope very much that I can share it with you.
With
Love and Blessings,
Rebekah |
